The RIFT Create a Colossus Contest

Like the onset of madness in a sane man, Telara may be scourged at any moment by evil from its very air. The sky could split above an open plain, or crack over the highest peaks. Crisp, serene air twists into a hateful storm, winds whipping and swirling with such fury they tear boulders from the earth, whirling them about like a mad juggler’s toys.

second entry for the rift colossus contest.
as you can see i'm in love whit walkers creatures, I've allways tought of colossus as enormous, slim walking creatures.

it is the air colossus, walking and storming on whatever it walk
this time the face is a porceline mask, it don't need to see, eat or else, couse it'll incinerate or push everyting away.

done in photoshop, may be 10 hours...
had some real problems on the clouds :v never did a realistic one whit ps

as the one before i like it a lot, hope you too ^^

its a really amazing design and idea. Really inspiring.. Lightning bolts and clouds swirling upon a majestic colossus floating on the sky. its awe inspiring.

though I must say it's somewhat hampered by a slight lack of scale... maybe if you see a city's skyline dwarfed by the colossus instead of a uniformed-level forest, the impact will be stronger? have you tried using cloud brushes for painting clouds? it's a cheat but hey.. haha.

Again, amazing, your other two colossi are equally, if not more, Awesome.

really in te lower part it is a grassland, not a forest, in each of mine colossus i let the size "free to decide" to the eye of the viewer, couse it let you imagine more of him, like an inspiration for the movements, and i thougt it could be better for a programmer, for adapt it at the scale they prefere, surelly it is big :D

Strangely, it reminds me of Koh from Avatar: The Last Airbender...

Any inspiration perhaps?

really the inspiration were from star wars (the makeup of padme), and from the japanese tradition, unfortunatelly i've never seen koh before.
a prof. of mine told me that it seems from Myazaky, which i think it could be, couse i'm a fan of him ^^
